No cable TV

Since two days I don't have cable TV anymore. I decided I don't need it while James is deployed.
When he is not here I am watching my German shows I am getting over save.tv. The American news channels I can live without I can get what I need over the i-net directly, lol...
Right now I am reading more again also and I enjoy the quietness not always having the TV running.

I requested from the library, the new book from Kathy Reichs, Devil Bones and Ken Folletts book World without End, I inpatiently wait for both of them, lol...Right now I am reading books by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. I hardly can put the book to the side...Wheel of Darkness...

Right now I am stringing the beads on the yarn for my next project. I haven't decided on the pattern yet.

Yesterday was a sad day...hubby was finally getting deployed to Iraq. The going back and forth was a little bit nerve wracking and I am very upset though how the airline was treating the soldiers. For days they were told their bags were only allowed to weigh 75 lbs. Hello? Where are they going please, not on vacation…
After dropping the bags they got word they could weigh 80lbs. Oh well…aha…thank you very much.
Of course with the restrictions with the carry ons I have to send him his cavalery hat, I think it is very disturbing, how a lot of things are running. It all has to do with the union from what I understand. So much for supporting our military. Just make their lives a little easier and don’t whine so much about heavy bags. It is sad I think…

It was sad the Goodbye, but it was short so that was good for all of us, so the soldiers could prepare for the processing and the flight.

In the afternoon I went to my beloved Kaffeeklatsch group and my friends cheered me up. I am really thankful for so wonderful friends
Next week I will have the Kaffeeklatsch for my b-day at my house…

Knittingwise I am still knitting socks like crazy and I am planning to knit more with beads…

From my last projects I didn’t make pics because I was a little late with mailing them out to my customer…

I wish everyone a happy and safe New year!

Long time no see

I am really terrible, I haven't written for so long...

As usually I am still very busy knitting of course and busy with my doggie Iggy. He is my little boy

My last project were a pair of wristwarmers made with Noro silk garden sock yarn. Yummie.

Last weekend I visited a Nuno felting class in Austin which was very nice and interesting. With my one scarf I am not too happy, I put a kind of a corn base fiber on and it really doesn't look too nice and also it falls already off...with my silk based scarf the woolen top is pretty, but i dont like that the silk is white...I ordered more silk and when I make more scarves I will dye them first. It is a good idea to check the local Thrift stores for crinkle chiffon scarves...just in my area, there are really none to find in winter...

Myblog is giving me grief again. In the morning I tried to blog and it logged me out....oh well....
I am trying to get my website running, but I am useless with it....I hoped so much I could have my blog with my website.
And it is supposed to be easy. Yeah right!

Knittingwise I had been very active. I finished two wristwarmers from my recycled yarn stash...70% lambswool, 20%wool and 10% nylon. I dyed the yarn with koolaid and it turned out pretty cool. Normally I really don't have a hand for dyeing....

I know the colours are really not the best, but hubby was kind of in a hurry....
